A&E’s Home.Made.Nation and Hello Sunshine, are looking for homeowners who are at odds with a big decision, should they renovate it and keep it or flip it for profit?

Known for their custom and sophisticated designs, Mary (@marytjp) and Jon Pierre Tjon-Joe-Pin (@jonpierretjp) are experts in flipping and real estate who'll take charge of the transformation and then help you decide!

Must be local to Seattle, WA, The Greater Vancouver Area, BC or Portland, OR
Must be able to fund the renovation
Must hold the deed and property must have cleared probate.

We will require at least two participants to appear on camera. This should be a significant other, parent, sibling, etc.

APPLICANT AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS *

All applicants (an “Applicant”) must sign statements acknowledging that they have read, understand, and will comply with all of the following eligibility requirements ("Eligibility") of “Willing To Flip" (the "Program") in order to proceed with the application process: 1. Employees, officers, directors and agents of BE SUNSHINE UNSCRIPTED, LLC. ("Producer"), and A&E Global Media (“Network”), and each of their respective successors in interest and assigns, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, parent corporations, and joint venture partners (collectively with Producer and Network, the "Released Parties"), all Program advertising, promotional and judging agencies, Program broadcasters and distributors and all other companies associated with the production, administration and/or exhibition of the Program and/or any of their respective licensees, assigns, parents, affiliated and subsidiary companies, divisions, and joint ventures as well as (a) the immediate family (spouse, ex-spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, daughter or son, step-parents, step-children, step-siblings, regardless of where they live), and (b) members of the same households (whether related or not) of such employees, officers, directors and agents, are not eligible to be contestants on "Willing To Flip" or to participate in this application process. In addition, any applicant closely acquainted with any person connected with the production or administration or exhibition of the Program is not eligible if, in Network's sole discretion, the person's participation could create the appearance of impropriety. 2. Applications MUST be written clearly or typed 3. Applicant must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of application. 4. Applicant may not presently be a candidate for any type of political office ("Candidate") and may not become a Candidate from the time the application is submitted until one (1) year after first broadcast of the last episode of the Program in which they appear. 5. Applicant must be United States citizens or resident aliens living in the United States with a legal right to live and work in the United States. 6. Applicant must be in excellent physical and mental health. 7. By applying for participation in the Program, you authorize Network to conduct civil, family court, criminal, financial, driver history and any other type of background check deemed necessary by Network. Network reserves the right to disqualify any applicant from further consideration based on the results of such background check in Network's sole discretion. 8. Applications will only be considered if they are complete (including a Release and Waiver signed by you) 9. All applications (including all materials submitted in connection with each application or submitted as supplemental materials requested by Network) will not be returned and will become the property of Network, which shall have the sole and exclusive right to use the applications in any manner throughout the universe in perpetuity, as set forth in greater detail in the Release. 10. Only one (1) application per person will be accepted. Applicants who submit more than one (1) application may be disqualified. 11. From among all the completed applications Network receives, staff and consultants of Network and the Producers will evaluate each application on a number of subjective factors, all of which have the aim of determining which applicants are right for the Program. 12. If selected to participate, Applicant must be available to participate in the taping of the Program throughout the production period from 6/30-9/26 (dates subject to change in Producer’s and/or Network’s sole discretion) as determined by Producer in its sole discretion; and (ii) other selected dates and locations in connection with the Program’s premiere and promotion of the Program if required by Network in its sole discretion. 13. If selected to participate, Applicant agrees to truthfully provide all information requested by Producer and/or Network and to abide by all health and safety rules and guidelines put in place by Producer and/or Network relating to working conditions in regard to the COVID-19 pandemic. 14. Applicants will be ineligible if, as of the date hereof, they have any type of contract for talent representation (for example, a talent agent or manager), an acting contract, a television hosting contract, a merchandising agreement, or any other contractual arrangement that would prohibit Applicant from entering into a talent contract, management contract and/or merchandising contract with Network. If you are selected as a Semi-Finalist/Finalist you will be required to provide evidence in a form that is satisfactory to Network in its sole discretion that any such agreements or contracts will not prohibit or limit in any way a Semi-Finalist's/Finalist’s obligations to Network, as set forth herein, and in accordance with such other directives of Network. 15. Applicant understands and acknowledges that participation in the Program, including, without limitation, the activities and events arranged by the Program coordinator (including, but not limited to, use of stoves, ovens, knives, and other kitchen equipment) may expose Applicant and other participants to the risk of death, serious injury, illness or disease, and/or property damage. Applicant must be willing and able to participate in physical activities related to working and performing in a kitchen (including using stoves, ovens, knives, and other kitchen equipment), on location, on television sets, and the like. Applicant must sign a release attesting to the fact that the applicant understands and knowingly and willingly agrees to assume such risks. Applicant understands that by submitting this participant application (the "Participant Application"), applicants acknowledge that they accept and assume all risks known or unknown of any nature (including, without limitation, the foregoing) that may arise in any way from or relate to applicant's participation in the selection process for and/or participation in the Program. 16. Applicant acknowledges, understands and agrees that Network may disclose any information contained within or derived from his or her application to third persons connected with the Program and to compile information from third parties in connection with such application and the application process about Applicant's private, personal and public life; medical treatment/history (both physical and mental); educational and employment history; military history; criminal investigations, charges and records; personal views and opinions about life, food, cooking, television, the media, and the like (collectively, "Personal Information"). Applicant acknowledges and agrees that Network may reveal such Personal Information to third parties in the course of the application process and/or the Program and that Applicant releases, discharges, and holds harmless the Released Parties (as defined above) from any and all claims and damages arising from such compilation or disclosure of Personal Information. 17. Applicant acknowledges, understands, and agrees that the Released Parties' use or revelation of Personal Information and Recordings as defined in these Eligibility Requirements may be embarrassing, unfavorable, humiliating, and/or derogatory and/or may portray him or her in a false light. Applicant agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims (including, without limitation, claims for slander, libel, defamation, violation of rights of privacy, publicity, personality, and/or civil rights, depiction in a false light, intentional or negligent infliction of emotional distress, copyright infringement, and/or any other tort and/or damages arising from or in any way relating to the submission of a Participant Application, participation in the selection process, participation in the Program, the use of the Personal Information or Recordings and/or the use of the Applicant's name, voice, and/or likeness in connection with the Program, or the promotion thereof in all media now known or hereafter devised. Applicant is required to sign Releases to this effect. 18. Applicant acknowledges and agrees that he or she is not and will under no circumstances as a result of the submission of a Participant Application, participation in the selection process, participation in the Program, the use of the Personal Information or Recordings and/or the use of the Applicant's name, voice, and/or likeness in connection with the Program, the promotion thereof in all media now known or hereafter devised or for any other reason in connection with his or her application and/or participation in the Program become an employee or an independent contractor of the Producer and/or Released Parties and will not make any claims against Producer and/or Released Parties, including, without limitation, claims for compensation, derived from any allegation of status as an employee. Applicant acknowledges and agrees that his or her relationship to Producer and/or Released Parties is and shall be limited solely to that of a grantor of rights. 19. Any applicant who has appeared on or is involved with any television program or other media must disclose such information in his or her application and may, at Producer's sole discretion, be deemed ineligible to participate in the Program. If Applicant is currently being considered as a contestant and/or participant in a television show, he/she must withdraw his/her application from such show upon Producer's request. 20. Upon Producer's request, Applicant must agree to sign any additional releases or authorizations that Producer, in its sole discretion, deems necessary. 21. All decisions related to the selection of Applicants shall be subject to change at Producer’s and/or Network's sole discretion. Network reserves the right to disqualify an applicant at any time, to modify these requirements or any aspect of the Program as it deems necessary, and to cancel the production and development of the Program or any programming contemplated hereunder. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: You must sign this form where indicated, and provide the following documents when submitting your application. Failure to do so will result in delaying the processing of your application and/or may result in eliminating you from further consideration: • One (1) recent photograph of you • One (1) legible photocopy of EITHER (a) your passport; OR (b) driver’s license; OR (c) social security card AND birth certificate I acknowledge that all the information provided on this questionnaire is true and accurate, and any false or misleading information submitted herein is grounds for my immediate elimination from consideration. This questionnaire and any other material submitted by me, including, but not limited to, pictures, film and videotapes, becomes the property of Network, shall not be returned and may be used in any manner in all media, worldwide, in perpetuity. I further understand that by submitting this questionnaire, Network has no obligation to accept me, and my selection and participation in “Willing To Flip” is in no way guaranteed, as it is merely for the purpose of evaluating potential participants. I warrant and represent that my responses regarding my level of culinary skill are accurate, truthful and to the best of my understanding. I hereby acknowledge and agree that if I am found to have misrepresented myself in order to gain an advantage in this competition or for other purpose(s), I may be liable for financial damages, including without limitation all costs and expenses incurred by Producer in connection with my participation in the Program. I acknowledge that I have read and fulfill the eligibility requirements and all the information provided on this questionnaire is true and accurate, and any false or misleading information submitted herein is grounds for my immediate elimination from consideration.

RELEASE AND WAIVER *

I hereby acknowledge that: (i) I understand, satisfy, and agree to be bound by, the eligibility requirements for “Willing To Flip” (the “Program”) and the instructions of BE SUNSHINE UNSCRIPTED, LLC. (“Producer”) and A&E Global Media (“Network”), its employees, producers, and consultants; (ii) I have answered and will answer all questions posed to me honestly and accurately in connection with my application to appear on the Program; (iii) if any of the information that I have provided or will provide is found to be false or incomplete, it will be grounds for dismissal from the Program selection process and from participation in the Program; (iv) Network has no obligation to interview me or select me as a participant in the Program; (v) if Network cancels the Program, Network will have no obligation to me; (vi) Network shall have no obligation to air the Program; (vii) all decisions concerning the selection of the participants and all aspects of the Program shall be in the sole discretion of Network, are final, and not subject to challenge or appeal. By submitting my application, I hereby consent to the recording, use and reuse by Network and/or the Producers and/or any of their respective licensees, assigns, successors in interest, parents, agents, subsidiaries or affiliated entities (the “Releasees”) of my name, voice, likeness, and biographical material in any and all media whether no known or hereafter devised throughout the universe in perpetuity (collectively, “Likeness”) in any and all media now known or hereafter devised. I agree that the Releasees may use all or any part of my Likeness and may alter or modify it. I further agree that the Releasees shall exclusively own any application materials (videos, photographs, recipes, etc.) that I may have provided in connection with my application or for participation in the Program and any photos and video or recordings of any kind (including self-shot footage) that Network will make of me in connection with the Program and my application (collectively, the “Materials”) and all rights therein and thereto including, without limitation, the right to use the Materials and my Likeness in any and all media now known or hereafter devised throughout the universe in perpetuity. I further agree that the Releasees may use my Likeness and the Materials in connection with any promotion, publicity, marketing or advertisement for the Program or any exploitation of the Program of any kind. I grant the rights hereunder whether or not I am selected to participate in the Program in any manner whatsoever. I release the Releasees from any and all liability arising out of their use of my Likeness and/or the Materials. I agree not to make any claim against the Releasees as a result of the recording or use of my Likeness and/or the Materials (including, without limitation, any claim that such use invades any right of privacy and/or publicity and any claims based on defamation or libel or false light). Without limiting the foregoing in any way, to the degree that the Materials include any musical or literary compositions in which I (partially or wholly) own, or to which I purport to (partially or wholly) own, the copyright or any publishing rights, I hereby grant to Network, and have the complete, unfettered right to grant to Network, an irrevocable, unlimited, perpetual, worldwide, royalty and payment-free license to use and reproduce such Materials in the Program and in connection with any promotion, publicity, marketing or advertisement for the Program or any exploitation of the Program of any kind, in any and all media now known or which may exist in the future. I understand that Network makes no representation that such Materials will or will not be used in any way. I agree that any dispute between me and any of the Releasees in any way arising out of or related to this agreement, the Program, or any claim by me of any kind against the Releasees as well as any dispute as to the arbitrability of any such controversy or claim, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York. The parties agree that the New York courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any claim, dispute or matter arising out of, relating to or in connection with this Agreement including any dispute as to its existence, validity, interpretation, performance, breach or termination and any dispute relating to any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with it. Each party submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New York courts and irrevocably waives any objection to the New York courts on the grounds that they are an inconvenient or inappropriate forum. I hereby agree that have read and understand this agreement and that no oral representations of any kind have been made to me, and that this agreement states our entire understanding with reference to the subject matter hereof. Any modification or waiver of any of the provisions of this agreement must be in writing and signed by both of us. Should any provision or part of any provision be void or unenforceable, such provision or part thereof shall be deemed omitted, and this agreement with such provision or part thereof omitted, shall remain in full force and effect. This agreement shall at all times be construed so as to carry out the purpose hereof.
